The wrestling team placed two out of its six entries in the state tournament, Wyatt Jones was fourth and Josh Rice was third.
The middle school winter sports seasons are over as well. The girls basketball team finished very strong. The "A" team finished undefeated. The wrestling team had its last meet, the district tournament, at Scappoose. Vernonia had several place winners.
The winter sports dessert was held last week for high school athletes and several of these athletes were honored with all league awards. The spring sports seasons have started for high school but it is still not too late to turn out for basball, softball or track and field.
